Fentanyl 101 Awareness Education

TOPS provides interactive, research-based sessions that teach about the opioid crisis and the increasing presence of illegally made fentanyl.

These 1-Hour Sessions Cover:

  • The difference between prescription fentanyl and illegal fentanyl
  • How fake pills are made and sold
  • Why fentanyl greatly increases the risk of overdose
  • Signs of an opioid overdose
  • How to use naloxone and what to do in an emergency

Community Conversations

Guided Conversations. Community Solutions.

Community Conversations are 1.5-hour sessions where people talk together about youth exposure to fentanyl and how to prevent it.

These Guided Discussions Focus On:

  • How young people in the community may come across illegal fentanyl
  • What education and resources are needed to improve prevention
  • How families, schools, and community groups can help keep youth safe

Key Ideas Are Recorded to Help Guide:

  • Future school programs
  • Parent education
  • Local prevention efforts

These sessions give the community a voice, find gaps, and create ideas for action.
